Ian Lancaster
Ian Lancaster has extensive experience of helping British companies of all sizes to acquire and develop international relationships and business, which he gained while working with the UK Foreign Office in British Embassies overseas.
Previously he worked in financial services in London at the major stockbroker J&A Scrimgeour.
From the City he joined the foreign service in 1974 and over some 35 years he undertook a wide range of roles in London and for varying periods in eight British Embassies abroad. A high proportion of these were in Africa and Asia.
He acquired in-depth practical experience of helping promote the interests of British companies abroad, especially at senior levels of foreign governments. Beginning with a leading role in the successful negotiation of the first major British project to be won in post-war Vietnam, he went on to assist UK commercial interests in a wide variety of operating environments.
He joined Partner Capital in 2009. Using his contact making and relationship management skills he works on the acquisition of new customers for Partner Capital and the securing of opportunities for clients, with a particular focus on Africa.
He has an MA in English Language and Literature from Jesus College Oxford. He is married with two children.
