Company Introduction

GrowUp

Oam_D_J7.jpeg

GrowUp Urban Farms combine technology and environmentalism to run the Capital’s only commercial indoor aquaponic urban farm from a warehouse in East London. Aquaponics combines aquaculture (farming fish) and hydroponics (growing plants in a nutrient solution instead of soil). The farm in Beckton, near London City Airport, is acompletely controlled environment growing space, using LED lighting over 10 verticallystacked growing layers, and a Recirculating Aquaculture System.

As the water is fed directly to the roots of the plants and then recirculated to the fish tanks, the system uses much less water than traditional agriculture. This low energy, low water-use system is an environmentally conscious way of growing food and is especially suited to high density urban agriculture.

GrowUp supplies to distributors and restaurants throughout London.

Concepta is a pioneering UK healthcare company with a Chinese founder and office in Shanghai. It is the developer of a proprietary platform and suite of products targeted at the personalised mobile health market with a primary focus on women's fertility and specifically unexplained infertility.

It has designed and developed a proprietary platform for at-home and Point-of-Care testing that comprises a hand-held meter, test sticks and an app. Its technology allows for both qualitative and quantitative results. This opens up a wide range of opportunities in the management of individual health parameters and in the emerging mobile health market.

In just three years, Concepta has been able to develop an innovative testing platform, obtain cFDA product registration and successfully list on the Alternative Investment Market (AIM).

Concepta is currently increasing its marketing and sales drive into China, the planned launch market, of its “myLotus” fertility product.
